What kind of art is sold at The Artment?

The Artment exhibits and sells all kinds of two-dimensional art - original paintings, as well as graphic art. But even though we represent a wide selection of techniques and styles, we are fastidious when it comes to quality. When we select works to be displayed and sold at The Artment, we look at artistic creativity and individual expression, as well as the artist's technical skills and understanding of colour and materials. We also strive for our selection to reflect the latest trends in art and design.

How do I buy art here?

When you find something you want, you can click "buy this piece", and it is put in your shopping cart. When finished, you may click on the shopping cart to go to the checkout, where you will pay by credit card through our secure transaction system. The piece you buy will be shipped to you directly from the artist. The shipping costs may vary depending on your location.

Can you really buy a work of art without having seen it in real life?

Even if the images of the works displayed at The Artment are of high quality, no image can of course do full justice to a piece of art. On the other hand - if you like a work of art on the basis of the image here, you will probably love it in real life. But for you to feel safe abour you purchase, we have a 14 day full refund guarantee. So if you should be disappointed, you can always return the piece for a full refund.

Is it safe to pay online?

When you pay online at The Artment, your credit card details are encrypted using the secure system of DebiTech, which is also used by many leading e-commerce sites.

Why are the prices quoted in Euros?

Since The Artment is an international gallery, selling art throughout the European Union, we choose to simplify things by quoting our prices in Euros. If you wish to check the exchange rates for your local currency, there are tools like Oanda, that always have the current rates.

Are the works delivered framed or unframed?

Works of art sold at The Artment are normally delivered unframed. This is in order to minimize the shipping costs, and so that the buyer is be able to select a frame in his own taste. Smaller pieces may sometimes be delivered framed, in which case this is stated in the description of the piece.

How is the shipping handled?

When you order a work of art at The Artment, the piece is shipped to you directly from the artist. The shipment is handled by Direct Parcel Distribution, which is one of Europe's largest logistical networks. The piece is shipped directly to your door, so if you are not home during working days, we recommend that you state the address of your workplace when placing the order.

Is the shipment insured?

Yes. All shipments from The Artment are fully insured.

What are the shipping costs?

The costs of shipping vary between € 9 and € 49 depending on your location and the location of the artist.
